Graphic design encompasses many different things, whilst logos and posters are amongst some of the most commonly done services, other products like clothing tags, leaflets and even promotional character design can all be made by a graphic designer.

Characters that represent a business or a product automatically draw the potential customers in by personifying them. Colour schemes are really important with character design as this ensures that they are clearly a part of the company. Additionally, I like to incorporate the product directly into the character design, as seen by the characters that I have created in the past (using tea bags as the straps on the dungarees or the vulva logo being featured on each of the menstrual cycle characters). This furthers the idea that the characters are an extension or a part of the product as opposed to a separate idea.

Zines are usually made to spread awareness about something, whether it's social issues, useful tips or new ideas. These are usually handed out to a large group of people, therefore need to be very eye catching and memorable which is why I filled both of these zines with many interesting illustrations relevant to the topic.

This is a frame that I designed for a modelling studio alongside the logo as they wanted to be able to place it on top of their photos as an extra piece of marketing. They specialise in a more alternative style, therefore I used a intricate design that is reminiscent of gothic architecture and stuck to an all black colour scheme as to not overcrowd it and keep the main focus on the photo itself.
