Logos are a key aspect of graphic design as they are often how we remember a company therefore they need to be interesting and memorable but not too complex.

This was a project for a film studies student who had recently began producing her own short films and videos. For this she needed a logo and reached out to me asking to create one that reflected her earlier work where she regularly used cake. Another requirement was to subtly represent their religion which is also commonly featured in her work therefore I decided to use an ichthys in the logo.

For this project I wanted to take myself out of my comfort zone and decided to do a personal project where I create a logo for a hot air balloon company. This was because it was a style and business that I wasn't used to working with and wanted to challenge myself and broaden my skillset for future clients. In the end, I chose this logo as my final outcome as I felt that the colours were bold and memorable whilst the illustration was simple enough to not be too confusing but interesting enough to potentially draw in a customer.

This was another personal project where I made a logo for an organisation helping young people navigate their periods. It was important to me that the logo clearly showed the message of the organisation but also made the viewer think about what they considered taboo. Despite a progression in awareness and openness about periods, it can still be an uncomfortable topic for some and so I wanted to create a logo that didn't try to suggest that it was for menstruation, but explicitly showed it.
